Why the National Careers & Employment Expo?

Attracting and retaining the right people is difficult at the best of times, this is further complicated as Australia becomes a target for offshore opportunities

Combined with the country's ageing population and rising skill shortage, a problematic decrease in the quantity of our available workforce is becoming evident.

As the recruitment marketplace endures these dramatic changes, the traditional means of advertising and marketing to attract the highest calibre people needs to be enhanced by including face-to-face contact with potential candidates.

Utilising this form of communication, the National Careers & Employment Expo is proving to be an effective method for organisations to increase their profile from an employment perspective and embed a positive employment message in the minds of proactive career seekers.

Today, the majority of Australian careers fairs have been restricted to industry based events that are target market specific (i.e. student only focus).

These events have forced entry and do not accommodate for the non-tertiary educated sector of the population. Retention of information from these events is generally low and the overall outcomes have usually been mediocre for both the attendees and exhibitors.

The National Careers & Employment Expo is Australia's largest and only national careers and employment event that encompasses both corporate and government organisations, industry sectors, education providers, recruitment consultancies and non-profit organisations in the one venue.
